Pakistan reports 4,455 new COVID-19 cases, 1,067,580 in total
Islamabad: Pakistan has reported a share surge in Covid-19 deaths as threat of delta variant looms large in Pakistan.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,455 cases of coronavirus were reported while 68 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 23,865.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,067,580.
As many as 961,639 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,282 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 363,644 in the province with 11,194 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 398,745 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,189.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 147,973 in the province with 4,540 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 31,138 confirmed cases while 331 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 26,874 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 645. On the other hand, there are 8,703 cases in GB with 152 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 90,503 cases in the capital city while 814 people have lost their lives.
