Pakistan is celebrating 75th Independence Day today (Saturday) with traditional zeal and zest— highlighting the struggle of our ancestors and national heroes for acquiring a separate homeland—a true Islamic welfare state.

As per details, the day dawned with thirty-one gun salutes in the Federal Capital and twenty-one gun salute in the provincial headquarters. Prayers were being offered for security and progress of country and well-being of the people.
National flag is hoisted at all important public and private buildings.
The main feature of the celebrations is a national flag hoisting ceremony at President House Islamabad where President Dr. Arif Alvi was the chief guest.
On the occasion, similar flag hoisting ceremonies also held at provincial, divisional and district headquarters level throughout the country.
Public and private buildings as well as streets, bazaars and markets have been profusely illuminated.
Marking Independence Day, national flags, buntings, portraits of founding fathers, posters and banners are also seen everywhere in the country.
On the eve of Pakistan's 75th Independence Day, Pakistan wore a festive look and people, despite COVID-19 challenge, are already celebrating the day by putting on white clothes with green stickers on them — decorating their houses, buildings with flags, leaflets and portraits of the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
