Pakistan gives immense importance to its relations with Arab League: FM
Islamabad: Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday has said that Pakistan gives immense importance to its relations with the member countries of Arab League.
While talking to the Arab League's Secretary, General Ahmed Aboul Gheit in Cairo the Foreign Minister said that Pakistan has strong political and trade relations with the Arab League countries.
Pakistan has these mutual relations with all the member countries of the Arab League due to common religious and cultural values.
"A large number of Pakistani immigrants live in Arab countries," said minister.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi briefed the Secretary General about grave human rights situation in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He also apprised the Secretary General about Pakistan's role as a facilitator in Afghan peace process.
Referring to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Pakistan and the Arab League, the Foreign Minister stressed the need to put this framework into practice through mutual cooperation and coordination.
The MOU is a document that describes the broad outlines of an agreement that two or more parties have reached.
