Reportedly, the blaze has engulfed the seventh, eighth, and ninth floors of the building. Officials have declared the blaze to be of the third degree.


Faisalabad: In an unfortunate incident, a huge blaze has been erupted in a building of a private bank near Kacheri Road in Faisalabad on Tuesday.
As soon as the incident was reported, rescue teams and police reached the spot to carry out rescue operation.
Reportedly, the blaze has engulfed the seventh, eighth, and ninth floors of the building. Officials have declared the blaze to be of the third degree.
The spokesperson of the fire brigade team said that nearly five to seven fire trucks have reached the site.
Due to altitude of the building, the fire brigade teams have been encountering several difficulties in the rescue operation.
As per reports, there are no emergency exits in the building because of which rescue officials are using stairs.
Soon after the fire erupted, employees of the bank rushed to the roof of the building following which a snorkel has been called in to rescue the stranded people.
However, the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
