'New revelations prove once again Sharif family is like a Sicilian mafia'
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday said that Gilgit Baltistan former chief judge Rana Shamim got his affidavit against Saqib Nisar notarized in Nawaz Sharif’s office.
In a message on Twitter, Federal Minister said that Rana Shamim had notarized affidavit against former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and other judges of IHC in front of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his office. “One more time new revelations has proved Sharif family a Sicilian mafia. How the way they blackmail institutions including the courts like a mafia.”
Earlier on December 20, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) fixed December 28 as the date for the preliminary review hearing of a contempt case against former Gilgit-Baltistan chief judge Rana Shamim and others pertaining to the publication of an affidavit which alleged that the former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar manipulated cases against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.
