PPP chairman says system of local bodies in Punjab was being run through an ordinance
Lahore: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that the incumbent government is snatching jobs and taking roof over the poor’s head on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference, the PPP chairman said that the people of Pakistan are in trouble at the moment. “Instead of giving 10 million jobs, the jobs have been snatched away. The people want to get rid of the government. The workers will be my strongest arm in the struggle,” he added.
He said that the people joining PPP are well aware of the problems of the common men. “PPP has always taken the country out of difficult situation. Now, the people of Pakistan want to get rid of the government. The country's economy has been destroyed under the PTI government, I need your help and support, he said while addressing to the PPP workers.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the system of local bodies in Punjab was being run through an ordinance. “If change takes place then provinces should get rights, local body system should be strengthened. Punjab should also have local body system like Sindh,” he further said.
