Pakistan's economic growth rate increasing: Asad
Asad Umar said Pakistan is not facing any serious threat like other countries.
Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar Saturday Pakistan's economic growth rate is increasing despite Covid-19 pandemic that hit economies of many countries around the world.
In an interview, he said developed countries like the United States and Europe are also facing price hike issues due to coronavirus.
The Minister for Planning and Development said Pakistan's growth rate is improving due to bumper crops and the upward trend being shown by the exports, remittances and information technology sectors for the last many months.
To a question about rising cases of Omicron, Asad Umar said Pakistan is not facing any serious threat like other countries.
He said the government has already made necessary arrangements in hospitals, besides completing vaccination of more than seventy million people.
