Customs seizes 440,00 Saudi Riyals from Dubai-bound passenger at Lahore airport
The action was taken on secret information
Lahore: Lahore Customs foiled an attempt of money laundering on Saturday, recovering 440,000 Saudi Riyals from a passenger at the Allam Iqbal International Airport and arrested him formally.
The action was taken on the intervention of Collector Customs Usman Bajwa and Assistant Collector Customs Shafat Ali Mirza.
The passenger identified as Hassan Ali was going to Dubai via PIA flight.
Customs officials recovered foreign currency from the jacket and hidden portions of the passenger's clothes moments before the suspect was boarding the plane.
A case has been registered against the passenger who is already arrested.
