Karachi needs empowered local bodies system: Asad Umar
'People of Karachi will come out for their rights'
Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Saturday has said that Karachi needs an empowered local bodies system, adding that the people of Karachi will come out for their rights.
Addressing a ceremony, the federal minister said that they feel pride Prime Minister Imran Khan does not only work for bagging votes in politics.
Asad Umar added that Pakistani youth are getting skilled and the best education in Namal University. I feel pride on Khurrum Sher Zaman and Aftab Siddique that they feel pain of their constituency.
Federal minister said that he congratulates traders of cooperative market. “Karachi was deprived of the best transport system. ‘Alhamdulillah’ transport has been started. Karachi Circular Railway is a project of new modern trends. This project is being started in PTI’s tenure,” he maintained.
Asad Umar said that Karachi needs an empowered local bodies system. “We have to tackle those people who made Karachi powerless. We will empower Karachi like KPK and people of this city will come out for their rights,” he concluded.
