Lahore: Former federal minister Moonis Elahi has non-bailable arrest warrants issued on Tuesday by a Lahore accountability court in connection with a case involving alleged corruption in development projects.
Moonis Elahi is allegedly responsible for corruption in development projects totaling billions of rupees.
The session was presided over by Accountability Court Judge Naseem Ahmad Virk, who also issued the arrest warrants, which are valid until October 5.
Moonis Elahi, the son of PTI President Parvez Elahi, was proclaimed an absconder on July 22 by the Lahore district court due to his persistent absence in the

Elahi had been issued a non-bailable arrest warrant, but the FIA had argued that he should be treated as a fugitive and declared an absconder.
The court also initiated the process of freezing his assets, bank accounts, passport, and computerized national identity card.
