Hearing of three cases against Imran, Shah adjourned without proceeding

Islamabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad Monday adjourned the hearing of three cases related to protest and vandalism against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and Vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi without proceeding.

According to details, ATC Judge Abu Al-Hasanat Zulqarnain adjourned the hearing on PTI chairman's three bail appeals till November 14 without proceeding.

The anti-terrorism court also adjourned the hearing on Shah Mehmood Qureshi's bail application till November 14.

PTI lawyers Khalid Yusuf, Sardar Ghazal and Mirza Asim appeared in the court while the prosecutor did not appear as he was on leave.

ATC adjourned the hearing till November 14 due to non-appearance of the prosecutor.

The bail appeals of former Prime Minister Imran Khan were reinstated by the Islamabad High Court (IHC), directing the ATC to re-hear the bail applications.

PTI lawyers said that the court can hear the three bail pleas of the chairman PTI in jail.

Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain said that they will take the records of the cases to the jail and will see later.

The Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain added wouldn’t it be right if the plea of Shah Mahmood Qureshi will be heard with Imran Khan.

On which Shah Mehmood’s lawyer Ali Bukhari replied: “I am ready now, the court should hear me and decide, the bails of the accused involved in this case have been confirmed, and our bail should also be confirmed. The prosecutor had also said that the bails of the accused have been confirmed”.

Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain said that they will listen along with the petitions of chairman PTI in jail.

The judge said that the cases of chairman PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be heard in the jail.
