Chief justice questioned that what is the current status of the applicant. FIA’s lawyer replied that the applicant is on physical remand at this time.
Lawyer Eman said that the case was filed under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) but the notice was something else.
Aamir Farooq said that it does not happen that a first information report was filed and the accused was arrested. It is admitted that the applicant would have done something wrong but on first information report an accused cannot be arrested. Is it according to the law? He asked.
