Election Commission bans Ali Amin Gandapur from holding election campaign, brother declared ineligible

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday banned Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur from holding election campaign and addressing public gatherings.
According to details, the Election Commission has pronounced its verdict in the Ali Amin Gandapur case against the federal minister for violating the Code of Conduct for Local Government Elections.
The Election Commission has disqualified local body candidate Umar Amin Gandapur, brother of Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Announcing the verdict of the case, the Chief Election Commissioner said that PTI candidate Umar Amin Gandapur will not be able to contest for the seat of DI Khan City Mayor.
Ali Amin Gandapur's brother Umar Amin Gandapur was declared ineligible by the Election Commission while Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was barred from participating in the local body election campaign.
