Opposition’s stunt of no confidence is mere storm in tea cup: CM Buzdar
Usman Buzdar says such elements can neither bring vote of no confidence nor tender resignations
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar has said that the opposition have now floated the stunt of no-confidence motion after resignations and long march.
In a statement, the chief minister said that such elements can neither bring vote of no confidence nor tender resignations. Opposition parties have no courage to hold long march, he added.
CM Buzdar emphasised that no confidence motion stunt merely equates to a storm in a tea cup. He categorically remarked that the PTI government enjoys clear majority and lead in the matter of number game.
“Even if all the opposition parties unite, no confidence motion would not succeed and their fruitless endeavours to bring vote of no confidence would go flat in coming days,” he maintained.
Usman Buzdar underscored that even if opposition wishes to bring no confidence motion, they can wilfully do so. He also stressed that the opposition will have to lick the dust as before.
“How come the opposition alliance on which their own political parties have expressed no confidence can gossip to bring no confidence against the government and it deems inappropriate,” concluded the chief minister.
