Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to make major changes in the administration of Punjab province, GNN reported quoting sources.
According to insiders, the prime minister hinted at major administrative changes in Punjab.
Amid rising political tensions, Prime Minister Imran Khan will reach Lahore on a day-long visit on Thursday (today).
During his stay in the provincial capital, the premier will chair important meetings.
Reports citing sources stated Imran Khan will hold separate meetings with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
Following the day-long visit, Imran Khan will also preside over a parliamentary party meeting. However, the Jahangir Tareen group has announced a boycott of the meeting.
As per sources, Tareen group has decided not to attend any parliamentary party meeting till Usman Buzdar remains the Chief Minister of the province.
Sardar Usman Bazdar will brief the members of the Punjab National Assembly and members of the Provincial Assembly on their contacts.
In addition, Sardar Muhammad Asif Nakai—the provincial minister who joined the Tareen group, and the former MNA Syed Samsam Bukhari are also scheduled to meet Imran Khan.
As the political situation picks further heat with the submission of the no-confidence motion, Imran Khan is also expected to meet the leadership of the PML-Q—his key ally in both Punjab and the Centre
