"Country is moving towards anarchy, Govt wants to take allies along"

Islamabad: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Sunday said that Imran Khan was going nowhere and he would complete his five-year tenure, adding that he is with Imran Khan.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the interior minister said that it was a prerogative of the National Assembly speaker to convene the assembly session after March 15. "Prime Minister Imran Khan’s position would be clearer in the following two days", he added.
He also said that the decision of the National Assembly speaker could not be challenged in any court, adding that the country should be moving towards democracy but it was heading towards anarchy.
The interior minister also expressed his unflinching support to the prime minister, stating that Imran Khan was going nowhere and he would complete his five-year tenure.
Sheikh Rasheed expressed his respect for Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and called him his brother.
He said people got angry when he stated that parties with four to five seats were blackmailing the government.
“But I took the name of neither PML-Q nor Chaudhry Brothers. I owe a great deal to the PML-Q elders – Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi and Khawaja Safdar,” he said and added that the mother of Chaudhry Shujaat used to send meals to him when he was in jail.
“The government wants to take the allies along,” he stated.
He claimed that none of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) workers was arrested and also vowed to crush any militia force if it came to Islamabad.
