Islamabad: Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin says the sugar production is likely to increase by two million tons from last year to 7.5 million tons.
In a tweet, Shaukat Tarin said, as a result, Pakistan is back to a sugar surplus country from a deficit.
The Minister said ex-mill sugar prices are now around 81 rupees per kilogram substantially lower from last year.
