The hearing adjourned until April 27
Lahore: A special court in Lahore on Monday extended the interim bails granted to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and his son, Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz in a money laundering case and adjourned the hearing until April 27.
According to details, Hamza Shehbaz appeared before the court while Shehbaz Sharif's lawyer filed an exemption plea on his behalf as he could not appear before the court due to the election of the new prime minister due to take place in the National Assembly (NA) today.
However, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) team of prosecutors did not show up.
During the hearing, Amjad Pervez Advocate, counsel for both father and son, said that he wanted to discuss whether the case merited ‘indictment’. The court accepted his request.
