Pakistan: COVID-19 claims 29 lives, infects 2,253 more people
Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 29 coronavirus deaths and 2,253 new positive cases in one day.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 2,253 cases of coronavirus were reported while 29 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 13,537.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 607,453.
As many as 571878 patients have recovered from the disease with 1,823 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 185,659 in the province with 5,769 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 261,411 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,458.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 76,104 in the province with 2,159 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 19,220 confirmed cases while 202 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 11,017 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 320. On the other hand, there are 4,961 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 48,081 cases in the capital city while 526 people have lost their lives.
