Massive fire erupts in Lahore’s Children Hospital
The fire broke out at 5:15 am in the pharmacy store, said hospital administration.
Lahore: A massive fire has been erupted in Lahore’s Children Hospital in the wee hours of Saturday, GNN reported.
According to details, the blaze engulfed the third floor of the hospital, reducing medicines worth millions to ashes.
The fire broke out at 5:15 am in the pharmacy store due to short circuit, said hospital administration.
Rescue and firefighters were called in immediately after the incident and at least seven fire tenders are participating in the firefighting process.
Meanwhile, additional fire engines have been summoned from across the provincial capital to help put out the fire.
During the rescue operation, the hospital building has been evacuated.
To contain the situation, more than 40 firefighters from fire department and rescue 1122 have been deployed at the site of incident.
The pharmacy store demolished following the horrific incident. However, no casualties were reported so far.
