"Pakistan is the first country that announced sustainable development goals as its national goals"
Islamabad: Minister for planning and development Ahsan Iqbal has expressed Pakistan's commitment to achieving sustainable development goals that are aimed at dealing with challenges of poverty, global food insecurity, and water scarcity.

The Minister said Pakistan is the first country that announced sustainable development goals as its national goals. Similarly, our vision 2025 also included the SDGs in its agenda.
He said the conference has revitalized our commitment to the implementation of SDGs in Pakistan. We have also suggested that Pakistan wants to hold a review meeting of G77 this year.
