Vandalism case: Imran Khan's bail extended till September 27
Babar Awan filed a plea seeking exemption from Imran Khan's appearance
Islamabad: A district and sessions court in Islamabad has extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan till September 27 in a vandalism case.
According to details, Sessions Judge Kamran Basharat Mufti heard the case registered against Imran Khan in the long march and vandalism cases.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s counsel, Babar Awan appeared in the court and filed an application requesting to exempt Imran Khan from appearance.
During the course of the proceedings, the court asked lawyer Babar Awan when Imran Khan can appear? The judge asked the investigating officer whether Imran Khan had joined the investigation.
The investigating officer replied that he had joined the investigation through his lawyer.
Later, the court extended Imran Khan's interim bail application till September 27.
