Pakistan records over 4,000 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours
Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 4,525 new Covid-19 cases and 41 deaths as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,525 cases of coronavirus were reported while 41 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 14,256.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 659,116.
As many as 598,197 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,055 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 215,227 in the province with 6,246 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 264,889 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,491.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 85,531 in the province with 2,301 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 19,525 confirmed cases while 206 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 12,484 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 348. On the other hand, there are 5,010 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 56,450 cases in the capital city while 561 people have lost their lives
