Court extends interim bail of PM’s son-in-law
The interim bail of Haroon Yousaf was extended until January 23.
Lahore: An accountability court in Lahore Thursday extended the interim bail of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law Haroon Yousaf Aziz, GNN reported.
The judge of Accountability Court No. 9 heard Haroon Yousaf’s pre-arrest bail plea.
According to details, Haroon Yousaf appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court to seek extension in interim bail and appealed to be made part of the investigation.
During the hearing today, the NAB required time from the court to submit an answer.
Later the interim bail of Haroon Yousaf was extended until January 23.
It is pertinent to mention that a case had been under hearing against Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law in accountability court.
On Wednesday, the bench restrained the NAB from arresting Haroon Yousaf.
Haroon, the premier’s son Suleman, and daughter Rabia Imran were declared absconders by the court for not appearing in the court for case proceedings.
Suleman recently returned to Pakistan ending his self-exile after securing the interim protective bail from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
