Peshawar: Police Tuesday arrested the suspected murderer of the lecturer (Bashir Ahmad) of Islamia College in Peshawar, from the Kirk area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police, the accused Sher Muhammad disappeared from the scene and was hiding in Kirk. He used to work as a security guard in the college.
It is pertinent to note that there was already a dispute between the teacher and the watchman, and on Sunday morning (February 19), the guard opened fire on Bashir Ahmad and allegedly killed the teacher on the spot over exchange of heated argument.
The university spokesman stated that the lecturer Bashir was associated with the English department of the college and belonged to Mardan.
