Islamabad: National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf on Tuesday called for holding of general elections across the country simultaneously.
Speaking to media at a seminar in Islamabad today, he emphasized the importance of consensus and dialogue among all political parties to address the socio-economic challenges facing Pakistan.
He urged the three key stakeholders including the Election Commission of Pakistan, the incumbent government, and all political parties to develop a consensus on holding elections.
Earlier, PPP Co-chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari said that they brought down the government of Imran Khan to take the country out of crises.
He said they thought inflation would come down.
Zardari expressed these words while talking to the reporters during his visit to an area in Southern Punjab on Tuesday.
