Karachi: In an unfortunate incident, four fire fighters were killed under the debris, 13 sustained the injuries on Wednesday night when erupted fire collapsed two factories in industrial area of New Karachi, GNN reported.
According to details, the rescue personnel were engaged in the cooling process when the buildings collapsed and they got died under the debris. The 13 injured includes 11 fire fighters.
One affected factory was of towel manufacturing while the other was of spare parts.
Two Pole Mounted Transformers (PMTs) of K-electric also got affected which can collapse at any time.
Rescue officials stated that the bodies of the four rescue personnel have been removed from under the debris who have been identified as Sohail, Khalid Shahzad, Adnan and Mohsin.
Deputy Commissioner Central Talha Saleem is also present at the scene.
On the other hand, Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori took notice of the incident and contacted Administrator Karachi Dr. Saif ur Rehman.
According to the spokesman, Governor Sindh directed to provide immediate medical aid to the injured.
