Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Zaidi also announced to quit the party and politics, GNN reported.
In a video statement, Ali Zaidi condemned the events of May 9 and said that after much deliberation, he has decided to quit politics and resigning from all PTI positions.
We have served Pakistan and came into politics for Pakistan, I repeatedly condemn the events of May 9. Whatever happened is wrong, whoever is involved in it should be brought to justice, he added.
“Pakistan army is our pride, we sleep peacefully because of them as they protect our borders,” added Zaidi.
He said that after a lot of thought process, he made this decision, which was a difficult.
“I have decided to leave politics, therefore I will resign from all the positions I have in PTI, including Member of National Assembly (MNA). However, I will try to serve Pakistan,” Ali added.
