Bilawal, Zardari and Nawaz Sharif likely to meet in Dubai
The sources privy to the development say the top leadership of both PPP and the PML-N is expected to meet to discuss important political matters.
Karachi: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, his father party’s Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari were expected to have a meeting with Nawaz Sharif, the supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), in Dubai, the sources privy to the development said on Sunday.
The sources said that Bilawal Bhutto, Asif Zardari traveled to Dubai to celebrate Eidul Azha. After the Eid festivities, they would return to Pakistan.
Maryam Nawaz also reached the UAE where she would meet her father Nawaz Sharif. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who earlier reached London after attending climate summit in Paris, would be there in the UAE with his elder brother and other family members.
The sources said that both the PPP and the PML-N top leadership was meeting in the UAE to discuss important political matters including the elections.
Bilawal Bhutto had earlier addressed an event on Wednesday and vowed to build a modern and democratic nation. He emphasized that failure is not an option and urged the people to reject those who lead them astray.
Bilawal had said, “Participating in today's event is a great honor for me. We have always embraced the politics of reconciliation and rejected the politics of hatred. Our focus should not be on conflict but on working together,”.
He had stated that the importance of building a nation that included everyone, with a future determined by unity, brotherhood, and civility. Despite acknowledging the economic challenges the nation faces, Bhutto-Zardari vowed to create employment opportunities for the youth, urging them to choose guiding principles that promoted stability and unity.
Highlighting the significance of the youth in the country's politics, Bhutto-Zardari stated, "The politics of this country belong to the youth. It is time for us to shape our own destiny."
