Dealers have been called to an urgent meeting in Lahore on July 12.

Lahore: The petroleum dealers have threatened to strike across the country in response to the government's refusal to increase their commission.
The petroleum traders requested that the government reinstate a 5% margin otherwise they will shut down petrol stations all around the country.
According to Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) Chairman Abdul Sami Khan that they cannot continue sale of petroleum products with the current dealers’ margin.
He stated that the dealers have been called to an urgent meeting in Lahore on July 12. Due to smuggled diesel and petrol entering the country, according to Khan, sales of petroleum goods have decreased by 40%.
The dealers had earlier threatened to go on a nationwide strike and asked that the dealer margin be set at 6%.
