Shah’s lawyer Ali Bukhari told the court that his client Qureshi neither was present in the protest of May 9 nor issued any violent statement.


Islamabad: District and Sessions Court Islamabad Saturday confirmed bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi in May 9 violent protest case filed in Khanna police station.
According to details, Shah Mehmood appeared in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Syed Muhammad Haroon Shah and marked his attendance.
Shah’s lawyer Ali Bukhari told the court that his client Qureshi is accused of participating in the violent protest, although neither he was present in the protest of May 9 nor issued any violent statement regarding the incident.
However, police has tried to implicate Shah Mehmood Qureshi without any evidence, added Ali Bukhari.
