California: TikTok, the popular video-sharing platform among young users, has taken strict action against content violating community guidelines by deleting over 100 million videos during the first three months of 2023.

In an effort to maintain user trust through safe, positive, and accountable experiences, TikTok released its Community Guidelines report for the period from January to March 2023.

The report highlights its commitment to tackling misinformation and ensuring a secure platform for its users.

Globally, during the mentioned period, approximately 91,003,510 videos were removed from TikTok, accounting for about 0.6% of all uploaded content.

Out of these, 53,494,911 videos were automatically removed, while 6,209,835 videos were taken down after a manual review.

In Pakistan, during the first quarter of 2023, TikTok deleted 11,707,020 videos for violating community guidelines.

In comparison, during the fourth quarter of 2022 (October to December), there were 12,628,267 videos removed for similar violations.

Moreover, during the first three months of 2023, approximately 83% of violating videos in Pakistan were deleted before anyone saw them, with nearly 92.2% of such videos being completely removed within a day.

The platform achieved an impressive 98.8% rate of proactive content removal during this period.

On an international scale, TikTok prioritized the safety of young users by deleting 16,947,484 accounts of users under the age of 13 during this quarter.
