‘Come forward for charter of economy,’ PM asks political parties for unity among nation
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lashes out at the PTI for what he said “division” in the country which he could never see ever before.

Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the narrative of thieves and dacoits divided Pakistan, alleging the former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for deceiving the nation.
“I couldn’t see such division in the country ever in my life,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while addressing a ceremony held in connection with the honor of the students of Danish Schools in Lahore on Saturday.
Shehbaz Sharif urged the political parties including the opposition to come forward for charter of economy and play role to bring the nation to this side.
He said that the previous government did not deliver and just targeted the then opposition during its tenure. “The national kitty went out of money by paying the fee of the lawyers,” said PM Shehbaz, regretting over the legal fights.
He stated that he knew well how they made requests for IMF deal because there was no other option except the IMF deal. He paid tribute to UAE and Saudi Arabia for their support for the deal with the Fund. He also stated that his government faced numerous challenges including floods in the last 15 months.
“There would have been a crisis if the IMF deal was not materialized,” said PM, adding that the deal with the Fund saved Pakistan from default. He stated that they would have further minimized the imports in absence of IMF deal.
“This is now a breather and we have to make a good use of it for revival of our economy,” said Shehbaz Sharif.
“These people would have held me responsible for default and would have erected a memorial against me if I had failed to secure deal with the Fund,” he further said.
He said that they needed to be well aware of the situation, pointing out that Pakistan had lots of resources. He lashed out at the PTI chief for his alleged corruption in 190 million pounds case, saying that such big amount went into the account of the Supreme Court as a result of a fraud. The PM also made it clear that whatever the government came into power there should be proper work on charter of economy.
The PM also lauded the Danish Schools officials for their working and educating the children. He also announced job for Tania who was associated with Danish school. He highlighted the need to establish more Danish Schools in the country.
