Lahore: Lahore has been ranked second in the list of the most polluted cities worldwide.
Despite the rainfall, the air quality index in Lahore could not see any improvement, recording an alarming figure of 100 on the Air Quality Index.
According to experts, a rise in the Air Quality Index above 100 in July poses serious health risks to the residents.
Smog is a common occurrence during the winter season, but its presence in July is raising concerns over the effectiveness of the Environment Protection Department's efforts.
