Islamabad: Supreme Court Thursday rejected the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) appeal to cancel the bail of former Interior Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah.

According to details, a two-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Atta Bandial heard the NAB plea, during which NAB lawyer took the position that Lahore High Court (LHC) had declared the inquiry against Rana Sanaullah null and void.

The court disposed of the NAB appeal filed for cancellation of bail in NAB case of former minister as the application was ineffective.

It is pertinent to note that in past few days, the petition to cancel the bail of Rana Sanaullah was scheduled for hearing in the Supreme Court.

NAB had filed an application for cancellation of bail against former Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on the charge of assets beyond means.
