Pakistan has jumped to the fourth position in Asia where inflation is the highest among all other countries.


According to data from Trading Economics, Pakistan has overtaken Nigeria and Laos to become the 18th most inflation-affected country.

Iran, Syria and Lebanon are the only countries in Asia where inflation is higher than Pakistan. Nigeria and Laos have inflation rates of 24.08% and 27.8% respectively, while Pakistan's inflation rate has risen to 28.3 percent.
Countries like Cuba, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Ghana and Ethiopia etc. are left on the global stage where inflation is worse than Pakistan.
According to the official website of Trading Economics, surprisingly, among all the countries, Afghanistan recorded the lowest inflation rate at -6.5 percent.
