Peshawar: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police claimed to have killed three terrorists in Peshawar on Friday.
The CTD conducted a raid on a tip-off in Peshawar’s Faqeer Baba Ziarat area which came in the vicinity of the Khazana police station. During the raid, an organised group of outlawed Daish opened fire at the police party.
The CTD officials retaliated against the gun attack and killed three terrorists.
The raiding team also recovered arms and ammunition from the killed terrorists.
According to a CTD spokesperson, five to six of the terrorists' accomplices were able to escape the scene.
Earlier in the day, the security forces have killed three terrorists whereas a soldier embraced martyrdom amid thwarting the terrorists attack on a military posts near Wali Tangi area of Quetta.
“On 14 September 2023, at 1830 hours, terrorists attacked a post of security forces near Wali Tangi Quetta,” the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release on Friday said.
The martyred soldier was identified as Subedar Qaiser Raheem who while fighting valiantly embraced martyrdom in the line of duty whereas another soldier was seriously injured.
“Security Forces of Pakistan will continue to thwart efforts of the enemies of peace and prosperity in the country,” the ISPR said.
