CM Punjab approves to make Mall Road Lahore dust-free
The number of trees will also be increased in addition to planting grass on the sides of the mall road and in the green belt.
Lahore: Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Raza Naqvi Thursday approved the construction of Dust-Free Model Road on the main highway of Quaid-e-Azam Mall Road of Lahore.
In the meeting presided over by the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, it was decided that the main highway Mall Road of the provincial capital Lahore will be made a dust-free model road.
The number of trees will also be increased in addition to planting grass on the sides of the mall road and in the green belt.
It was decided that new water tanks will be built to save rainwater in the city. Uniform and beautiful signboards will be installed on the mall road in consultation with the traders.
According to the decision, apart from eliminating encroachments from Mall Road, the parking system will be optimized. The cleaning arrangements on Mall Road will be as per the standards of the best cities in the world.
Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has called for the final plan in a few days to make Mall Road a dust-free model road.
Secretary to Chief Minister, Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Director General (DG) Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) participated in the meeting.
