Washington: Republicans in the US House of Representatives removed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy from office through a vote of no confidence.
According to details, Hard-line Republican members of the House of Representatives were furious with McCarthy for cooperating with Democrats, and a resolution was introduced against him.
The House of Representatives fired the speaker by a vote of 216 to 210 over a resolution against McCarthy by hard-line Republican members of the House of Representatives.
According to the foreign news agency, for the first time in the 234-year history of the United States, the House voted against the speaker.
Kevin McCarthy said, “I think I can continue my fight, but with a different strategy”.
According to foreign media, there will be no speaker in the US House of Representatives for the next week because various Republicans say that they have called a meeting on October 10 to appoint a new speaker and a vote for a new speaker is expected on October 11.
