Customs, ANF, ASF seize huge quantity drugs worth Rs56 mln
The drug of international value Rs56 million was hidden by the passenger in an animal-shaped decoration piece made of Plaster of Paris.
Karachi: National agency Customs, Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and Airports Security Force (ASF) conducted a joint operation at Jinnah International Airport Karachi and seized a large quantity of drugs from passengers.
According to reports, the international value of the drug is Rs56 million.
The spokesman told that the staff recovered 2700 grams of hashish and 1000 grams of methamphetamine drugs from the luggage of Kalimullah, a passenger who was traveling from Karachi to Sharjah, while checking at the common search counter of passengers' luggage.

It is pertinent to note that teams of customs officials are active at Jinnah International Airport Karachi. Customs officials had caught tax evasion through fake receipts on private company consignments.
The company had tried to hide a total of 140 million rupees of tax. According to the customs officials, tax evasion was revealed through fake receipts on the private company's consignment. The importer had understated the value of the goods by company employees Ghulam Saber Ghori and Zeeshan Ahmed through fake receipts.
The customs officials added that the declared value of the goods was Rs144 million, while the actual value was more than Rs437.1 million.
According to the officials, there was no receipt and packing list with the consignments and a case was registered against the various partners by confiscating the goods on fake documents.
