Barrister Ali Gohar nominee for caretaker PTI chairman
The intra-party elections of PTI are going to be held on Saturday, told Zafar.
Lahore: Senator Ali Zafar Wednesday accounted that Pakistan Tehrerek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will not be contesting for intra-party elections.
According to the details, Senator Ali Zafar, while holding a press conference with Barrister Gohar, said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had ordered an intra-party election.
PTI legal team went to the Election Commission,who expressed satisfaction over the intra-party election, told Senator.
Senator Ali Zafar stated that ECP has converted the verbal decision into a written decision. 'They ordered to conduct intra-party elections within 20 days, we will conduct intra-party elections on Saturday'.
Ali Zafar added that Chairman PTI Imran Khan is the real PTI. He is not contesting intra-party elections, however has approved to hold intra-party elections and nominated Barrister Gohar.
On the other hand, Barrister Gohar said, "I am grateful to Chairman PTI Imran Khan for approving my name for the party chairman. We have the same vision as that of Imran Khan. Mr. Khan is our leader whether he is inside or outside the jail. I will take the responsibility till he returns with honour. PTI is same and our struggle is same as Mr. Khan".
Earlier, Latif Khosa said while talking outside Adiala Jail, Imran Khan has bluntly said that there will be no minus one. 'I am the candidate of Chairman PTI, Barrister Ali Zafar and Barrister Gohar have got some misunderstanding'.
