The court directed the petitioners to continue paying the bills as per the pre-increase tariff.


Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) Thursday suspended the price hike notification issued by the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
According to the details, a hearing was held in the SHC on a petition against the increase in gas prices for the textile industry.
The court, while suspending the notification of increase in gas prices issued by SSGC, said that the suspension will apply only to the petitioners.
The court issued notices to the SSGC and the federal government.
It has also been directed by the court that the textile industries submit additional bills to the SHC. The injunction is for those who will submit the bills to the inspector within seven days.
SHC added that the injunction will lapse if the bills are not submitted to the inspector. Until a decision is taken, the money will remain deposited with the Sindh High Court.
