Shafqat Mahmood withdraws from election contention
The PTI leader and former federal minister says he is not candidate from any seat in the upcoming elections.
Lahore: In a significant development, Shafqat Mahmood, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has announced his decision to abstain from participating in the upcoming elections, withdrawing his candidacy from all constituencies.
The announcement was made through a message posted on the social relations website X, where Mahmood explained that he had initially submitted nomination papers for NA-128 and PP-170.

However, in a recent decision, he has chosen to withdraw from the electoral race altogether.
“I will not be a candidate from any seat,” said Mahmood.
Earlier today, the PTI released lists of its leaders for the National Assembly for the upcoming elections.
