Sheikh Rashid’s counsel filed a contempt of court petition against the jail administration for prohibiting the meeting with his clients.
Rawalpindi: Adiala Jail superintendent received ‘contempt of court’ notice in case of May 9 filed against former federal minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
According to the details, Judge Malik Ijaz of Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) headed over the May 9 vandalism case involving Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid.
Sheikh Rashid’s counsel filed a contempt of court petition against the jail administration for prohibiting the meeting with his clients.
In the ongoing hearing, the court directed the Adiala Jail superintendent to appear before the court by January 26 and also instructed the jail administration to submit Sheikh Rashid’s medical report.
In the mean time, the court has called for the presence investigation officers within two hours during the hearing of Sheikh Rashid’s case.
