Violence video: British Asian Trust withdraws honorary status of Rahat Fateh
The spokesperson of the trust said that they have a strict policy on violence, which has led to it ending all links with the singer.

London: The British Asian Trust withdrew the ambassadorship of Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan after his video of violence went viral on social media.
A spokesman for the King Charles-III founded British Asian Trust for Anti-Violence told a TV channel that the trust had decided to end its relationship with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan after reviewing the video.
The spokesperson of the trust said that they have a strict policy on violence, which has led to it ending all links with the singer. ‘We strongly condemn all forms of violence regardless of the circumstances’.
“We take all allegations of abuse seriously and will look into them immediately,” the trust said in a statement. The footage shows Rahat torturing a member of the band with slaps, kicks and even shoes while the victim pleads him to stop.
After the video of the singer torturing the employee, Rahat Fateh reacted and clarified that the matter in reality is not as it appears in the video.
He said that the video is about a matter between a teacher and a student.
The employee Naveed Hasnain also said that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is his teacher. Whatever is going on is a lie, he is their mentor and can beat and scold them.
He stated that the bottle in question was a pure water of a religious scholar that singer follows, which was lost by him.
It is pertinent to note that the Asian British Trust was founded by King Charles. In February 2017, the Trust appointed Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as the Ambassador of the British Asian Trust at the Trust's 4th Annual Dinner at the Guild Hall.
