Names to be included in 16-member initial cabinet of Punjab revealed
It is reported that 13 ministers from PML-N, two from PML-Q and one from IPP will join the cabinet.
Lahore: The Cabinet formation in Punjab will be done in two phases.
According to the media reports, a 16-member cabinet will be formed in the first phase, on which the consultation between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and allies has been completed, while in the second phase, seven to 10 ministers will be included in the Punjab cabinet.
It is reported that 13 ministers from PML-N, two from Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and one from Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) will join the cabinet.
Th media reports suggested that the Punjab Cabinet will include Begum Zakia Shahnawaz, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Bilal Yasin and Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman.
Apart from this, Khizr Hussain Mazari, Manshaullah Butt, Ashiq Kirmani, Naeem Khan Bhabha, Azma Bokhari, Faisal Ayub, Sher Ali Gorchani, Ahmed Khan Leghari, Rahila Khadim Hussain and Sabtin Bukhari will also be part of the cabinet.
Moreover, Malik Asif, Akhtar Bosal, Yawar Zaman, Fida Hussain, Malik Tanveer, Aslam Malik, Asad Khokhar, Farrukh Javed and Salman Naeem will be included in the Punjab cabinet in the second phase, while (Q) League's Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and IPP's Ghazanfar Chheena will also be a part of the cabinet, reportedly.
While, it is also reported that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will join the Punjab Cabinet in the second phase.
Media reports told that PPP is likely to get three ministries in the Punjab cabinet after the budget.
PML-N and PPP committees are working for the inclusion of PPP in the Punjab cabinet. Syed Ali Haider Gilani, Neelam Jabbar and Raees Nabeel of Peoples Party are likely to join the Punjab cabinet, said reported.
It is pertinent to note that the PPP members elected from South Punjab had demanded the party leadership to join the Punjab cabinet.
