PML-N calls heads of coalition parties’ meeting
The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet the leadership of PPP, MQM-P, PML-Q and IPP.
Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has called a meeting of the heads of coalition parties at Punjab House Islamabad today (Wednesday), reportedly.
According to the media reports, the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet the leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Mutahidda Qoumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Istehkam-Pakistan Party (IPP).
There will also be a joint meeting of the allied parliamentary parties while the PML-N will also give a dinner in honor of the allies, added the report.
The former finance minister Ishaq Dar said that PML-N and PPP will jointly elect the President, Speaker and Deputy Speaker. They want Jamat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI) to work together not only in Balochistan but also in the Federation.
It is pertinent to note that the PML-N has also called a parliamentary party meeting in the National Assembly on February 28 at Punjab House.
According to reports, the meeting of the parliamentary party will be held at 3 o'clock today in the Parliament House, which will be chaired by party leader Nawaz Sharif.
The decision to nominate Shehbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister will be confirmed in the meeting and during the meeting, the strategy of the National Assembly session on February 29 will be decided.
