First lady, Bushra Bibi inaugurates Sufi, S&T research center
First lady of Pakistan, Bushra Imran inaugurated Sheikh Abul Hassan Shazli library and research center in Lahore on Saturday.
The first lady reached the Sufism, Science, and Technology research center and visited the auditorium, library and conference room in the research center.
Farah Khan also accompanied the first lady on the journey of service to the people.
The center would be linked to the shelter homes, child protection bureaus, prisons, particularly women and juvenile jails. In addition to that the newly opened Sufism research center will be connected to all types of educational institutions.
Bachelors, M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in Islamic philosophy, and Sufism will also be launched in the center.
Earlier, Bushra Bibi showed her interest in opening Sufism and S&T research centers across Punjab to serve the disadvantaged segment of the society.
Sheikh Abul Hassan Shazli research center has been opened in Lahore in the first phase. The Sufi center and library will conduct research on Islam, Sufism, religious thought, tolerance, science and technology, and modern sciences.
