Court reserves verdict on Asad Toor’s plea amid physical remand
Tahir Sipra questioned that is judicial magistrate asked for more physical remand of Asad Toor.
Islamabad: The district and session court has reserved the verdict on journalist Asad Toor’s review plea regarding physical remand.
According to the details, judge Muhammad Tahir Sipra heard the plea. Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) prosecutor appeared in the court.
FIA prosecutor stated that according to the prevention of electronic crimes act the physical remand can be taken of 30 days and Asad Toor’s physical remand is required. Voice matching has been done. More electronic devices needed to be taken out from the accused.
Tahir Sipra questioned that is judicial magistrate asked for more physical remand of Asad Toor.
FIA prosecutor replied that judicial magistrate said that this should be asked by the court at first. The technical report is the previous one when the case was filed against the accused.
Sipra said that ask judicial magistrate to order from his own mind. He further said that he will the give the verdict according to review plea.
