Selectors to go Kakul today for Babar Azam’s consent
PCB initially wants to give captaincy to Babar Azam by world cup of this year.
Karachi: The selectors will be going to Kakul today (Saturday) for convincing Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam to hold the leadership of world cup.
According to the details, this decision was made in the meeting chaired by the chairman Pakistan cricket board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi.
PCB initially wants to give captaincy to Babar Azam by world cup of this year. But Babar Azam is in favor of long-term appointment of captaincy.
Selectors will make him affirmed that he will be an independent captain. It should be noted that the board is on back-foot at this time so Babar will be trying to convince them on his demands.
It is important to mention here that the board can make an announcement in press conference regarding captaincy on March 31.
